While most schools which are cur­ricu­lum based, the School of Oppor­tu­nity is mar­ket dri­ven. It is ded­i­cated to offer­ing  rapid response to mar­ket edu­ca­tion needs from both the stu­dent and the employ­ers’ perspectives.

 

The School of Oppor­tu­nity accom­plishes this in a num­ber of ways:

  • By apply­ing emerg­ing tech­nol­ogy, qual­ity edu­ca­tion resources, and exist­ing cur­ricu­lum to meet cur­rent work­place requirements.
  • By inte­grat­ing life skills into all of its cur­ricu­lum equip­ping stu­dents with tools for a bet­ter qual­ity of life and employ­ers with a more respon­si­ble and pro­duc­tive employee.
  • By apply­ing technology-based man­age­ment tools that make employ­ees more tech­no­log­i­cally savvy and more productive.
  • By apply­ing qual­ity edu­ca­tion resources and client spe­cific cur­ricu­lum to meet work­force train­ing requirements.

The School of Oppor­tu­nity will offer classes that reflect cur­rent and emerg­ing soci­etal trends. These trends will be trans­lated into skill sets that pre­pare the stu­dent for a mean­ing­ful life and career. Integrated into all classes will be these com­mon threads of human effectiveness:

Self-reliance: A mind­set based on pro-activity and respon­si­bil­ity which posi­tions the stu­dent
to acquire oppor­tu­ni­ties with their own resources.
Sense of worth: An entre­pre­neur­ial mind­set and sense of con­fi­dence that encour­ages the
stu­dent to take mea­sured risks and demon­strate per­sonal and inter­per­sonal lead­er­ship in
prob­lem solv­ing.
Skill Inte­gra­tion and Appli­ca­tion: A capac­ity to engage and apply skills to prob­lem solving.
